Sawridge strives to be the hub of the community. We operate full service hotels each with conference facilities and can host banquets, charitable functions, weddings, and other special events. This allows us to be active and serve in the communities we operate.
On a larger scale; the Sawridge Group of Companies supports non-profit organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We support a wish child every year and our favourite fundraising activity is when all of our hotel properties team up to raise money for the Sweet Dreams Campaign and enter into a friendly internal competition amongst each other. Last year over $22,500 was raised; other community initiatives include Jasper and Peace River town clean up days, Keyano College, Aboriginal Pow Wow, Peace Air Show, local sports teams and churches, Mustard Seed, Stollery Children's Hospital, CPGA Borealis Golf Tournament and the list goes on.
In March 2012 the Sawridge Inns and Conference Centres were bestowed the Humanitarian Award by the Hotel Association of Canada for the extraordinary commitment to bettering our communities; and for the efforts shown in the aftermath of the Slave Lake Wildfires in May 2011.
