By Air

By Car

Follow the Yellowhead Trail (Highway 16) out of Edmonton north to Highway 43. This highway will take you to Valleyview, where you will either turn at the junction to Highway 49 and straight into the Town of Peace River, or continue on Highway 43 to Grand Prairie.

By Bus

High Level - Peace River - Slave Lake - Grand Prairie - Edmonton

Winter in Peace River is full of fun Canadian outdoor activities for the whole family

Alberta's favourite winter event occurs in Peace River annually, it is known as the largest Pond Hockey tournament in Alberta. Attracting visitors from across Alberta and even Saskatchewan and the Northern Territories, the Alberta Pond Hockey Association is a non-profit organization that relies on sponsors and volunteers. In the past the event has brought in Hockey Hall of Fame guests such as Gerry Cheevers, Bryan Trottier, Clark-Gilles and has received a lot of media attention.
